MAURITAS ADVISORY COUNCIL
Introduction
The Mauritius Advisory Council (MAC) was set up, following the proclamation of the MAURITAS Act, in August 1999, and held its first meeting in September 1999. The Council is expected to meet at least 3 times yearly. The Council has been reconstituted in June 2009.
Duties of the Council
The Council shall
(a) advise the Minister on all matters relating
to the functions of MAURITAS and any specific matter relating to accreditation
which may be referred to it by the Minister;
(b) consider policy issues relating to accreditation raised by stakeholders;
and
(c) respond to requests from the Director for advice on specific issues.
